DANCE EAST CENTRE FOR ADVANCED TRAINING
This year I have had the privilege to work with the wonderful students at DanceEast’s CAT scheme to create a piece of work for the DanceEast Cat end of year show. These inspiring individuals have reached beyond their limits, shown absolute dedication and together we have made something special. Thank you to everyone at Dance East who have made my visit welcoming and comfortable. I look forward to seeing you all on 29th July

Students from the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training showcase their astonishing talent in a mixed bill of works by influential national and international choreographers, including Luke Brown, Glasshouse Dance, Michela Meazza (New Adventures), Lisa Hood (Avant Garde), Jo Meredith, Joss Arnott and Arthur Pita.
This year’s programme has a theme of playfulness throughout as the dancers explore ways to be their true authentic selves. Based at the Jerwood DanceHouse, the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training is one of ten national dance organisations offering part-time, non-residential, professional dance training to young people from aged 10 – 18 years of age with exceptional potential in dance.
With funding from the Department for Education’s Music and Dance Scheme, the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training develops students’ talent through a pioneering programme, creating and inspiring future generations of world-class dancers and choreographers.
