Luke Brown will soon be researching his new piece of work Little Red Balloon. This research and development will be supported by Artsdepot‘s mini-residency program. Through this mini-residency Luke Brown Dance will begin the first stages of researching their new work Little Red Balloon, a dance-theatre work that spirals around the phenomenon of hypnosis and time. The work will look at mind control through the power of suggestion.

Luke says “It was astonishing to observe the fragile moment in time between conscious and subconscious behaviour and that split second before someone can effortlessly slip under the power of a hypnotic trance all by listening to a single voice. I am thankful and excited to be supported by artsdepot for the early stages of development of Little Red Balloon.”

For the initial stages of research of Little Red Balloon Luke will be collaborating with Hypnotherapist Zack Polanski and Musician and Composer, Nicholas James Orlando Hewlett.
